Tools for Haromony within Diversity: A guide through Calm and Storm

The eight-hour workshop with Dr. Barbara Date will provide concrete, practical skills to help participants better understand themselves and others using the personal style inventory tool, the Friendly Style Profile.   SUGAR members have studied this model with Barbara this year and have found the model and the accompanying interpersonal skills to be very helpful in all settings: at work, in the community and at home.  If you have questions about content or process for this workshop, please just ask.

During the workshop, participants will:

·         Examine issues with respect to individual and cultural differences, particularly differences of personality or temperament

·         Share and explore specific examples of how these types of differences interact

·         Explore practical behavioral options for drawing out the best when relating to others

Learn how to draft  their own customized Personal Style Profile Analyses (sample PSPAs can be provided), for a more in-depth understanding of their own style

·         Develop self-care/self-management and interpersonal skills to enhance healthy relationships and prevent dysfunctional conflict

Extensive educational materials provided will include:

·         Friendly Profile textbooklet:

·         Friendly Press Score Card:

·         Daté PSP card:

TOTAL materials cost and light refreshments:          $30.00
